Victor Knibbs

Victor came to ceramics from an earlier career in Architecture. He retrained as an art teacher, and has taught pottery, art and design from 1974 to retirement in 1993.

His work is mainly handbuilt electric fired stoneware. Influences include the architecture and sculpture of the Modern Movement, and mathematics. The work and philosophy of the Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancussi is a major inspiration.

Victor is a member of the Anglian Potters and currently its chairman.

He has exhibited at every Anglian Potters exhibition and at other galleries, in both group and one-man shows, since 1980.
